Villa Fracanzan Piovene

Villa Fracanzan Piovene is a baroque Venetian Villa located near Vicenza at the foot of the Berici Hills.

At the beginning of the 18th-century, the noble Fracanzan family from Vicenza commissioned the Villa to the architect Francesco Muttoni.

Its baroque architecture, which is a rarity among the Venetian Villas, is enriched by several Palladian elements.

The interior is inspired by the history of centuries past, with prestigious halls, frescoes, four-poster beds, and ancient furniture and decor.

The kitchen is especially remarkable for its collection of copper pots and utensils and its red marble sink.

The Villa is surrounded by a large walled park, with a brolo (orchard), paths, fishponds and an evocative amphitheater.

Together, the joiner’s shop, granaries, wine cellar and farmer’s houses constitute the museum of “Villa Daily Life and Work”, which preserves a collection of rare tractors and interesting farming tools.

Once a “salon” for literary gatherings, Villa Fracanzan Piovene today is open to visitors and hosts prestigious events.
