Villa di Montruglio

Built by architect Muttoni at the turn of the 17th century.

The statues on the façade are by the workshop of Orazio Marinali.

The frescoes decorating the main hall on the piano nobile are by Francesco Aviani.

Villa di Montruglio stands at the foothills of the Berici Hills, surrounded by parkland, woodland, and vineyards. Originally designed by architect Antonio Pizzocaro in 1680, commissioned by the ancient Arnaldi family, the villa was expanded in the second decade of the 18th century by Francesco Antonio Muttoni, who added the chapel, the distinctive pediment crowning the façade, and the barchessa portico, which shows strong Palladian influences.

At Villa di Montruglio, visitors can admire the park and historic gardens, the Entrance Hall, and the hall frescoed by Francesco Aviani in the main building, as well as the Hall of Arms in the Barchessa, which houses a collection of antique weapons and horse tack.
On the first floor, the Lapidarium and the Hall of Olympus can be visited, named after the statues by the Marinali workshop depicting classical deities.
