Villa Brunelli Bonetti is a Venetian Villa found at the foot of the San Sebastiano hill in Cornedo Vicentino. It is best known as Villa Veronica, after Veronica Maffei, who lived in the Villa in the 19th century.
The mansion has a rectangular plan and is comprised of two stories and an attic. The facade is enriched by a tall, slender window with a balustrade.
The facade features a small gable, as well as two lateral loggias at the piano nobile characterized by Tuscan columns; this is quite remarkable for the area. The barchessa, with a five-arch portico, is located on the north-western side of the main building.
The historical park can be divided into four quadrants: a flower garden at the front of the Villa, an ancient vegetable garden with a circular tub on the western side, the brolo (orchard) with both ornamental and fruit trees behind the Villa, and finally the woods on the eastern side.
A road in paved in stone crosses the woods leading to the St. Sebastian chapel, which opens onto the valley and offers a stunning panorama that spans all the way to the Small Dolomites.
Villa Veronica is open to visitors from April to September.
