Parco Frassanelle is an historical estate of 200 hectares, belonging, since the 13th century to the counts Papafava dei Carraresi, descendants of the da Carrara, lords of Padua from 1318 to 1405.
The property lies gently on the northern slopes of the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills and offers the visitor many opportunities to have fun or to relax, both in the open air and in elegant, recently renovated, country side residences.
Parco Frassanelle includes a 1601 monumental farmhouse, a 1822 neoclassic villa, artificial grottoes built in 1880, about 80 hectares of cultivated land, a 18-hole golf course and some recently renovated country villas and apartments with two swimming pools available to guests.
Parco Frassanelle is open to the public from 10 am to sunset every Sunday and national holidays from the last Sunday of March until the last Sunday of November.

Designed and realized by Alberto Papafava dei Carraresi (1832-1929), a romantic painter with a great sensibility for nature, he crowned his work with the construction of the Grottoes, an environment created artificially to give the visitor the feeling of being in a natural place.
